The biotechnology sector is constantly evolving; In order to give you the best tools to face this, we have developed innovative teaching methods based on practical and interactive learning processes.
The online program is all about flexibility. Students from anywhere in the world with any work or time commitments are given the chance to pursue a Master in Biotechnology Management.
The convenience of communication forges strong links between students, professors and course directors, who can all be brought together at anytime of day, no matter where you are. In effect, the restraints of distance and time are removed through our broad use of internet technology.
The principal methodology used is the case method. Either in the classroom or by online documentation and debate, you will be equipped with the tools of theoretical analysis that you will need to work on the practical case studies. You will be given teaching notes to introduce and develop the concepts involved in the studies, which each describe a real business situation where decisions have to be made. These studies will subsequently be discussed during the general sessions which will take place either presentially or online.
A significant advantage of the online methodology is that the case discussions might go deeper than in presential programs as they last for several days, giving you, fellow students and professors the time to read the comments that have been posted, digest them and then submit a personal, considered response to the class. Several discussions are held in parallel, making it easier for you to perceive links among the different aspects under discussion.
Not only will you benefit from your classmates' experience and knowledge through the discussions of the case studies, but you will do so through your teamwork. Throughout the course you will be divided into groups according to your profiles and backgrounds, and will then work on specific cases together.
Again, during the online training periods, geographic location will not be a barrier to effective teamwork. Our communication tools are specially selected to optimize interchange regardless of time and place.
Be it a study of a specific issues or a report on a case, carried out in groups or individually, each task will be discussed and together we will devise a solution.
In order to give you more hands-on experience, in certain fields, you and your group will be given situations, particularly ones concerning negotiation. From this you will have to prepare a certain role and then play out the resolution of the case.
Throughout the entire program, conferences will be held in order to increase your face-to-face contact, your learning experience, as well as your networking opportunities with top executives, leaders, and important academics of the industry.
